Memorial service for Nipsey Hussle to be held at Staples Center, same venue as Michael Jackson’s tribute show
A memorial service for slain rapper Nipsey Hussle will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the same venue asThe sports and concert venue has a 21,000 capacity and the service will take place on 11 April.for the service and ‘only ticket holders will gain admission’.
Sources claimed that Nipsey’s family and execs from Staples met on Wednesday to discuss plans, and LAPD officials ‘were also present in the meeting to help plan logistics and security for the event’. Michael Jackson’s memorial was held there in 2009; 17,500 free tickets were given to fans worldwide through an online lottery that attracted over 1.2 million applicants in 24 hours.Nipsey, 33, and two other men were shot outside his clothing store in Los Angeles on 31 March.The Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement at the time: ‘We have no suspect info at this time and will provide more details as they become available.
