Met Eireann warns of rain and temperatures as low as 2C this weekend
A wet and cold weekend is on the cards as Met Eireann has predicted rain and temperatures as low as 2C over the weekend.
While the last couple of days were dry and sunny with temperatures reaching the highs of 15C, the weekend will see unsettled weather. Friday will be dry for most of the country with sunny spells but a few light showers are to be expected locally in western counties.Dry conditions set to continue into Friday night with lowest temperatures of 2C to 5C.A Met Eireann forecaster said: “Cloud will gradually thicken through the afternoon and rain will develop the west during the evening.“Rain will continue on Saturday night over Munster, Connacht and western parts of Leinster, but elsewhere it will still be largely dry.
“Rain is likely again on Monday in many areas with the heaviest rain in the west and southwest and good dry periods in the east and north.
