INEC Setting Dangerous Precedence With Inconclusive Polls - Dogara.

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara, has cautioned the Independent National Electoral Commission against setting dangerous precedence in the political history of Nigeria by declaring elections inconclusive.

Citing examples of elections recently conducted in Ghana and other African countries, he noted that it is only in Nigeria that it is a practice to declare elections inconclusive as there’s nothing like that in other climes. Furthermore, he averred that “For those who believe in power for the sake of power and not because they want to empower people, not because they want to better the lives of our People, there are also lessons they can learn from history.
