Furthermore, it involves the evaluation and selection of suitable data management tools and technologies, as well as the optimization and maintenance of existing BI tools and databases to enhance performance and functionality. A key aspect of the role is ensuring data quality and integrity, which involves continuous monitoring of data performance and the development of proactive procedures to resolve any identified issues. The candidate will be involved in performance tuning for maximum efficiency.\The successful candidate will possess strong SQL Developer skills, including the ability to write and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to ensure efficient data extraction and processing. Extensive and solid experience in report development using a variety of tools, such as SSRS, Power BI, and Excel, is essential. This includes the creation of complex DAX and MDX formulas for advanced calculations and data analysis. The candidate will also be responsible for monitoring and improving report performance, guaranteeing scalability and reliability. The ability to analyze data issues within reports and a commitment to adhering to and improving BI standards and best practices across the team are also important requirements. Furthermore, the role demands the ability to work independently with a wide degree of creativity and latitude, as well as the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently. Experience in Sage Accounting Integration is an advantage, alongside some software development experience and a general understanding of Agile software development methodologies. An advanced understanding of performance tuning is essential to ensure that BI solutions operate at peak efficiency and effectively provide insights.\Minimum requirements for this position include a diploma or bachelor's degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are considered a plus. Proven experience in developing and deploying reports using Power BI, Power BI Report Builder, and SSRS is essential for the role. The candidate must also demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design creative and innovative BI solutions. A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle databases is required, along with extensive exposure to SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Moreover, the candidate should possess at least 3-5 years’ experience writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and query optimization, preferably in both Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. A solid foundation in performance tuning is a non-negotiable requirement. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years’ systems analysis experience, including interviewing business users and documenting their data and report requirements, is necessary.
