EECO, a Thai special economic zone (SEZ), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Zhuhai Hengqin Jingtongrongzhi Technology Information Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese technology company, to explore opportunities for investment in EECiti, a smart city project in Zhuhai.

ลงนามในบันทึกความเข้าใจ กับบริษัทเทคโนโลยีชั้นนำของจีน เพื่อศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในการลงทุนในโครงการเมืองใหม่อัจฉริยะ ความร่วมมือมุ่งเน้นการศึกษาโอกาสการลงทุนใน 4 ด้านหลัก ได้แก่ การพัฒนาอุตสาหกรรมและนวัตกรรม, โครงสร้างพื้นฐาน, การสร้างเมืองอัจฉริยะ และการบริหารจัดการเมือง โครงการเมืองใหม่อัจฉริยะ ตั้งเป้าเป็นศูนย์กลางธุรกิจและเมืองน่าอยู่ 1 ใน 10 ของโลก คาดว่าจะสร้างงานกว่า 200,000 ตำแหน่ง และรองรับประชากรได้ 350,000 คนใน 10 ปี ดร.

ค. 2569 นายกาจฐิติ วิวัธวานนท์ กงสุลใหญ่ ณ นครกว่างโจว และ Mr. Chen Yue International Investment Director บริษัท Zhuhai Hengqin Jingtongrongzhi Technology Information Co., Ltd. ได้ร่วมพิธีลงนามในบันทึกความเข้าใจ ร่วมกัน ทั้งนี้เพื่อแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูลและศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ของการลงทุนในโครงการศูนย์ธุรกิจ EEC และเมืองใหม่น่าอยู่อัจฉริยะ ระหว่าง EECO กับ Zhuhai Hengqin Jingtongrongzhi Technology โดยมีผู้บริหารจากประเทศไทยและสาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน ร่วมเป็นพยาน ณ ห้องประชุม Conference 1 – 2 สำนักงาน EECO กรุงเทพฯ สำหรับ MOU ฉบับนี้ นับเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการสร้างความร่วมมือระหว่าง สกพอ.
และ บริษัท Zhuhai Hengqin Jingtongrongzhi Technology Information Co., Ltd. เป็นผลสืบเนื่องมาจากการเดินทางเยือนสาธารณประชาชนจีน ของคณะผู้แทน EECO เพื่อจัดกิจกรรมความร่วมมือกับภาคเอกชนชั้นนำของจีน และลงนาม MOU เมื่อเดือนเมษายน 2569 ที่ผ่านมา ซึ่งได้หารือแนวทางการเตรียมความพร้อมดึงดูดนักลงทุนในโครงการ “EECiti” เพื่อสร้างความเชื่อมั่นต่อศักยภาพของพื้นที่เขตพัฒนาพิเศษภาคตะวันออก หรืออีอีซี ต่อไป ทั้งนี้ ข้อตกลงตามวัตถุประสงค์ของ MOU ดังกล่าว สะท้อนถึงความต้องการของบริษัท ที่จะดำเนินการศึกษาการคัดเลือกพื้นที่ และการจัดทำรายงานศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ในการลงทุน เพื่อหาโอกาสการเข้าร่วมลงทุนในการพัฒนาโครงการ EECiti มุ่งเน้น 4 ด้าน ดังนี้
